Everything you need to feel confident.

Common questions from hospitals and translators — how MEDLEE matches, verifies, and protects your content and your data.

Getting started

What is MEDLEE?

MEDLEE is a medical translation matching platform that translates a hospital's international-patient content (websites, brochures, promotions, SNS) and has people proofread the AI material a hospital creates. We go beyond raw machine translation — domain-savvy translators take responsibility.

How is this different from machine translation?

Machine translation is fast but risks mistranslation in medical and aesthetic contexts. MEDLEE has specialty-verified translators do the work, or has people proofread and correct your AI translations so you can use them as-is.

Which languages and countries do you support?

We currently support 13 languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mongolian, English, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, Filipino, Burmese, Khmer, Uzbek, and Korean.

How much does MEDLEE cost?

During early access there are no matching fees. The price is the fixed per-project amount the hospital sets in the request, and the translator receives it in full. Any future pricing changes will always be announced in advance.

For hospitals

How do we register our hospital?

Create a hospital account, then upload your business license PDF. Our team reviews it and verifies your hospital — usually within 18 hours, and 24 hours at most.

How does translation matching work?

Once verified, you post a request with the content, language pair, field, deadline, and budget. Translators matched to your language pair and specialty apply, and you confirm the best fit.

Can we talk to the translator before confirming?

Yes. You can chat 1:1 with applicants before confirming, so you can align on requirements and fit first. Personal contact details stay masked until you confirm.

What kind of material can we hand off?

Websites, procedure brochures, promotional materials, SNS content, booking and guidance copy — content for international patients — plus proofreading of AI-generated foreign-language material.

For translators

Who can apply as a translator?

Anyone eligible to work in Korea with strong translation skills. After signing up, you upload your ID/passport and visa documents for verification before joining the matching pool.

What kind of work will I do?

Translating hospital websites, brochures, promotions, and SNS — and proofreading/correcting the AI translations hospitals create — remotely, one project at a time. You build a medical translation portfolio.

How and when do I get paid?

You receive the fixed per-project amount the hospital set in the request, in full. Once your deliverable is accepted, settlement begins and you can track the payout status — gross, withholding, and net — right in your dashboard.

What's the difference between translation and AI proofreading?

Translation means rendering source content into a foreign language; AI proofreading means a person verifying and correcting the accuracy and natural phrasing of AI-generated foreign-language material. They're distinguished by request type.

How do completed projects become part of my career?

Every completed project adds your work history and the hospital's review (translation quality, on-time delivery, willingness to re-engage) to your profile. Turn on your public profile and hospitals can discover and request you based on that track record — far stronger proof than a single 'fluent in X' line.

Trust & safety

How is translation competency verified?

Identity verification is the baseline. We also review language pairs, specialties, and medical translation experience, and our team oversees quality throughout.

How is my personal information protected?

Before you confirm, phone numbers and emails in chat are automatically masked, so you communicate safely in-platform. Contact details are shared only after both sides confirm.

How does the review system work?

After each completed match, hospitals and translators leave a two-way review across translation quality, on-time delivery, and willingness to re-engage. These reviews continuously raise quality and inform future matches.

What happens if there's a problem with a match?

Chat history is retained for dispute resolution, and our team helps mediate. Repeated missed deadlines or policy violations can lead to restricted access for either side.
